You Received A Word Of Knowledge or Prophecy; What Does That Mean?
What is “a word of knowledge” or “a word of prophecy?” These are good questions. I will very briefly explain some basic biblical teaching on these questions. There are 3 things I will explain in this post:
1. What are the gifts? (Mainly the gifts of prophecy and the word of knowledge.

What Is A Gospel Evangelist?
I became a full-time Evangelist in June of 1992. I thought it would be a good idea (for my very first blog post, on an Evangelist website) to explain what an Evangelist is, biblically; for those who may be unfamiliar with the Evangelist ministry and the purpose it serves.
The Bible list 5 ministries or some might say offices, for the church in the book of Ephesians chapter 4: apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers. Each of these gifts has unique qualities that help serve God’s purpose for equipping and edifying the body of Christ.
Jesus Did Not Come to Condemn Us
Imagine standing in a courtroom knowing the case against you is airtight. The evidence is overwhelming. Every witness agrees. There is no reasonable defense, and you already know the verdict before the judge speaks: guilty. You expect condemnation because, by every standard of justice, that is what you deserve.
Now imagine the judge pronounces the sentence, steps down from the bench, and then pays the penalty himself. That picture brings us close to the heart of the Gospel. Christianity does not begin by pretending that we are innocent. The Bible is clear that we have sinned and that sin has consequences. But the Gospel does not stop with our guilt. It introduces us to Jesus Christ.
